Are tensions returning in the North of Kosovo? Powerful explosion in Mitrovica

A powerful explosion was heard at midnight in the “Bosnian quarter” in the north of Mitrovica, which is inhabited by a mixed population.

The news was confirmed for the media by the deputy director of the Kosovo Police for the North of Mitrovica, Veton Elshani. “After the specialized team went to the scene, it is suspected that we are dealing with the explosion of the M75 hand grenade”, announced Elshani.

The explosion happened last night around midnight, and apart from the damage to a vehicle, no injuries were reported. The police are at the scene of the incident and are continuing the investigation to identify the perpetrator
